KEYNOTE SPEAKER - Jermaine Jamison
Transform Yourself and Those Around You
Jermaine is the Co-founder and Managing Partner of Jamison Perry, a recruiting and staffing organization, and President of 3E, LLC (Emerge.Evolve.Excel), a provider of talent management consulting, DEIB consulting, leadership and organizational training, keynote speaking and career coaching.
Drawing on more than 25 years of experience leading and coaching others and building partnerships of significance, Jermaine is known for his selflessness, honesty, authenticity, and transparency. These traits allow him to build strong human connections that change lives, advance careers, and improve organizations.
Jermaine is an active member of the community. He advises youth on the importance of making positive choices and creating a strong personal brand, and he mentors professionals in the Kansas City region. Jermaine is the Chair of Legislative and Governmental Affairs for the Lenexa Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Board of Directors for Sleepyhead Beds.
Jermaine earned a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Emporia State University, emphasizing Human Development, Sociological Paradigms, and Family Studies. Jermaine holds Talent Management, DEIB, Coaching Certifications, International Accreditations, and an ACECC designation.
Jennifer Olberding
Jennifer is an expert in all things Human Resources. She has professional experience in employee relations, employment law, team development and leadership, communications, policies/procedures, benefits/compensation, HRIS management, recruitment, and employment management. She has earned her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification, as well as her Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
In addition, Jennifer is an instructor here at JCCC, where she teaches courses such as Managing Time & Workplace Pressures, Bridging Generations and Principles of Leadership.
Karen Anderson
Karen has a certification in Training and Development. She is also an adjunct and online credit instructor and is a Kansas Supreme Court-approved mediator.
She began teaching at JCCC in 1988 in the English department. She is also an instructor for Continuing Education, teaching courses like Storytelling in Business, Writing for Business Results and Speaking to Influence Decisions & Actions.
In recent years, she has received the Lieberman Teaching Excellence Award for Adjunct Faculty at JCCC. She was “Member of the Year” twice at the National Speakers Association-Kansas City chapter, where she has also served as President. Karen has authored/co-authored more than 13 books and developed more than 200 customized training programs for corporations, government agencies, non-profit organizations and universities.
Loretta Summers
Loretta combines energy and real-world experiences to facilitate personal and organizational change. She has assisted managers and executives in becoming more effective leaders and achievers; she has aided teams in improving team cohesion, communication and performance; and she has helped employees at all levels gain insight into their natural and adapted behavior in the workplace.
With many areas of expertise -including human resources management, leadership development, and conflict resolution- Loretta custom designs and facilitates seminars to help individuals and organizations align their potential for success.
At JCCC, Loretta teaches indispensable courses such as Unconscious Bias in the Workplace, SHRM Essentials of Human Resources, and the Human Resource Certification Preparation Program (HRCP).
Mary Anne Matos
Mary Anne is our marketing extraordinaire with experience in both communications and education. She currently works as the Community Relations Manager for the Nerman Museum, and she has previously worked as a translator, tutor, teaching assistant and language institutes instructor. In addition to a Marketing and Management degree, Mary Anne also has a degree in Radio and Television- so she has been a part of event and television productions!
On top of her work with the Nerman Museum, Mary Anne is an instructor for Workforce Development & Continuing Education. A few of her classes include Social Media Marketing and Email Marketing.
Dawn Monroe
Dawn has been a computer technology expert since the ‘90s, when computers first began appearing in offices! As new software is released, Dawn learns it and teaches it. She launched her own business, Dawn Monroe Training, in 2017. She currently offers customized content to corporate groups and individuals, as well as more traditional training.
Her experience includes a wide range of corporate training with a variety of different software products and versions, as well as five years as an adjunct instructor here at JCCC.
A few of Dawn’s classes include Getting Started with AI, Creating with Canva- The Basics, and Making Magic with Canva- The Pro.
Jeanie Lauer
Jeanie is certified in Mediation, as well as Human Performance Improvement, and she is a facilitator for DDI and Achieve Global. She continues her education in the fields of human performance measures, business/organizational development and global issues.
Lauer is the owner of The Management Edge, a firm specializing in organizational planning, workforce development and mediation. Her work includes a variety of organizations – for-profit, not-for profit, and municipalities.
Since 2018, Jeanie has served as the 5th District Jackson County Legislator and her committee assignments are Budget, Finance & Audit, Justice & Law Enforcement (Chair), Land Use, and Public Works.
A few of Jeanie’s courses at JCCC include Business Ethics, Delegating in Business, and Conflict Resolution in the Workplace.
